《生活大爆炸》英文剧本精读10，无法修复、重修旧好

《生活大爆炸》剧本精读，之前发了9篇文章，都是以S05E22为主线进行展开的，接下来这几篇，以S01E17为主线展开。这一集的内容相对较少，两三篇文章就能总结完。

注意，confront  with sth是错误用法。

×:  We confront with some  problems.

√: we confront some  problems.

√: we are confronted with some  problems.

这句台词，中英字幕中用的in，某英文剧本中用的from，不过用在这个句子中，两种用法都对。听原音频时，谢耳朵语速太快，几乎没听到这个过渡词，放慢速度后才听清楚用的是in。

originate from,originate in,originate with表示根源时,with用于人,in不用于人,from两者皆可.

The quarrel originated in/from a misunderstanding.争吵源于一个误解.

Fireworks are said to have originated with/from the Chinese.烟火据说源自中国人.

It's smashed beyond repair. what are you gonna do with it?  都摔得不成样子了 你打算怎么处理

be beyond repair、be damaged beyond repair  ，无法修复

Definition：be so badly damaged that it cannot be repaired

Howard这句话中用的是smashed ，和damaged 效果差不多。

Unfortunately the engine is beyond repair.

这个词组在本集中出现了两次，后面Leonard将Penny原本无法修复的感情给修复了。
